Are You Afraid of the Dark? We all know that humans love the thrill and the feeling of being frightened, scared, and even terrified, but everyone’s experience is different as to what is truly scary! All human emotions, regardless of their intensity, fills our system with endorphin’s and pumps adrenalin into our bloodstream,  creating an euphoria that is really no different than that of a drug addict, or driving a World Class Formula Car in the Tour de France, and climbing the steep cliff face simply because it happens to be there… Movies and tales of death, dying, ghosts, hauntings and possession, allow us to experience that terror first hand, in the safety of a cozy theater surrounded by hundreds of equally terrified people or in the safety of our home, tucked in a warm bed surrounded by lots of pillows and blankets to hide our face while watching a our favorite genre of terror. We can all agree that we all love a good scary movie. That sense of euphoria it creates as our craving for adrenalin is satisfied, but what we will disagree on, most certainly, is on what scares us most. What really makes for a good scary movie? After all, we all like to be frightened, within reason. There is one thing everyone can agree on though, and that is our love and fascination of anything paranormal! Mankind has been trying to solve the mystery of ‘life after death’ for thousands of years! So getting back to our question as to what makes for a good scary movie…we must first try to understand is that we really don’t understand, nor can even begin to comprehend anything regarding the ‘other side,’ or truly supernatural. Believe it or not, when many people retire for the night, they still check under their bed and in their closet for anything that may be lurking there. Then there are those people leave a light on in bathroom on before going off to bed that would feel neglectful it they didn’t…especially if they’ve just finished watching one of the world’s scariest films. So just how many movies are there that would classified as  ‘too scary to watch alone’ are out there? Well, unfortunately, not as many as you think…Don’t get us wrong…there have been a LOT of supernatural films  made over the last hundred years, beginning with Nosferatu in 1922, but alas it’s sad to say not many that it would qualify for our Vaults of the Paranormal! So sit back, and enjoy, as we review our list of top films we believe you may agree with, are just…’too scary to watch’ alone. If at all! Enjoy…
