For whatever reason I have been very fortunate in the amount of direct communication I have been able to capture on audio and video. I like to believe it comes down to intent but I may never know the actual reason I am able to gather such clear examples of intelligent communication. Whatever the reason, I am very thankful and appreciative to those who took part in the clips below that I would like to share with you.

For each clip below I will give a brief narrative about what was going on at that precise moment. At least as best as I can recall.

Big uh, no! – (Disembodied voice)

This was recorded in the basement of Kenton Station at a time we were dealing with a very angry and pissy spirit I always referred to as Snoopy since he wouldn’t give us his real name. Snoopy appeared to be bi-polar. At times he was just sort of annoying and at other times was just flat out angry. This clip is a combination of EVP and disembodied voice. Rob, James and I were sitting in the dark at a table in the center of the basement. We were using an RT-EVP device, EMF detector and a camcorder. As this voice occurred, we received an EMF hit. James had in the RT-EVP ear buds which were on about a 5-8 second delay so he heard it a few seconds after it happened. Rob asks a question and gets an immediate response that I heard out loud and was also picked up on the RT-EVP as well as the camcorder audio.

Friend – (EVP)

This EVP was captured on an Olympus VN-480PC digital voice recorder. We were dealing with 2 spirits in the house. One was an older man who was very negative and kept a younger boy (Josh) as a pet. I believe this voice to be that of Josh. The odd thing is I had been calling this investigation Imaginary Friend long before I captured this EVP. I was sitting alone in one of the kids bedrooms, the parents were sitting in their bedroom and John was either sitting in the kitchen or the other child’s bedroom. Either way we were all separated and sitting quietly when I captured this voice. At the end you hear me say “Oh there you go” because I had an EMF hit at the exact moment the EVP was captured.

I think so – (EVP)

This isn’t the loudest or clearest EVP I’ve ever captured but it was basically the first. It was recorded in a horse barn. The only power to the barn was some lights (which were off) and some power outlets. It was out in the middle of nowhere in a city named Scappoose, OR. The thing I always found interesting about this one is there is a lead up to the voice that sounds like a mechanical device that is clicking. The same mechanical sound can be heard on each syllable of the EVP itself. As the woman says I think so, there are 3 clicks, one for each syllable.

Breathing – (EVP)

I’m including this one mostly because it’s just plain creepy. This was recorded in the basement of a former funeral home turned drapery shop. This is again Rob with the RT-EVP. The interesting part is the noted change in temperature during the EVP as well as after. What you will hear is a heavy breathing sound followed by a very deep inhale and an extremely long pause before the 2nd breath.

 Something – (EVP)

Again, this one isn’t super clear but I like it because it’s one of several I have captured that seems to show a sense of humor. This was recorded in an old pioneer cemetery. Unfortunately the area is very loud with an Interstate, busy road and train tracks nearby. EVP’s should be difficult to get here but I’ve gotten a lot of them. Sadly many are hard to hear due to the noise conditions. The humorous part of this is that she gives me exactly what I ask for, just not what I was expecting. I ask her to say something, and that’s exactly what she says.

 I axed you – (EVP)

Interesting because this was recorded in an apartment building in a predominantly African American part of town. The response is a woman using the axed form of asked.

Following are several examples of names given on request using the P-SB7 spirit box as well as a converted Radio Shack 12-587.

Five – (P-SB7)

At Kenton Station simply asking how many of them were with us.

Asking the same question a little later on in the evening.

Fine – (Disembodied voice)

Kenton Station basement. Although the spirit box is running, the response came from right next to me and not through the device.

Hello – (P-SB7)

One of my favorite direct interaction clips. I noticed a shadow moving around behind me for quite some time while we were using the spirit box. I eventually walked over to where I was seeing the shadow and invited whoever it was to please come join us at the spirit box. This is what happened next.

No – (P-SB7)

Again at Kenton Station. I like this one for the direct interaction as well as how honest he is.

The following are two of my favorite clips where we appear to have captured two spirits (a man and a woman) holding their own conversation independent of us. I find these fascinating because even though the spirit box picked up what they were saying, it doesn’t appear they were paying any attention to us at all.

For you? For me – (P-SB7)
